Flake epoxy flooring

The crowd favorite. A speckled, slip-resistant finish that hides everything and takes a beating, built for garages, shops and busy spaces.

what it is

Tough, forgiving and easy to live with

A flake floor starts with a pigmented base coat. While it's wet, colored vinyl flakes are broadcast across it until the whole surface is covered. Once it cures, the loose flake is scraped off and the floor is sealed under a clear topcoat.

The result has a little texture underfoot and a speckled look that hides dust, tire marks and the everyday scuffs a solid color would show. That's why it's the garage floor most people end up choosing.

Grind and repair

Diamond grinding opens the concrete, and cracks and pits get filled.

Base and broadcast

A base coat goes down and flake is broadcast to full coverage.

Scrape and seal

Loose flake comes off and a clear topcoat locks it all in.

good to know

Why people choose it

Hides the everyday

Dust, tire marks and scuffs disappear into the speckle instead of standing out.

Grip you can choose

The topcoat can be left with more texture for wet floors or smoothed for easy sweeping.

Prep stops hot tire lift

Hot tire pickup comes from thin coatings on poorly prepped slabs. Grinding and a full build prevent it.

good questions

Asked about flake epoxy flooring

Why is flake the most popular garage floor?+
It looks good, hides dirt and wear, has some grip, and takes hot tires and dropped tools in stride. It's the floor that still looks clean when the garage isn't.
Can I choose how much texture it has?+
Yes. The topcoat can be left with more texture for a floor that gets wet, or smoothed out for one that gets swept a lot. Tell us how you use the space.
Will hot tires lift a flake floor?+
Not when it's done right. Hot tire lift comes from thin coatings on slabs that weren't ground first. We diamond-grind every floor and build it in full layers.
How do I clean it?+
Sweep it, then mop with water and a mild cleaner. Skip harsh acids and abrasive pads, and it will keep its finish for years.
