Urethane cement flooring

The heavy one. Built for wash-down, hot water and thermal shock, which is why it lives in kitchens and plants.

what it is

For floors that stay wet and hot

Urethane cement is a thick, cement-based urethane system. It handles the things that wear an ordinary coating out: boiling water hitting a cold floor, daily wash-downs, steam, grease and constant moisture.

It can run up the wall into a rounded cove, so there's no joint at the edge for water or chemicals to sit in. That seamless edge is a big part of why kitchens and plants choose it.

how it goes

From bare slab to finished floor

Walk and schedule

See the floor and plan the install around production or service hours.

Grind and anchor

The slab is ground and the edges are cut so the system locks into the concrete.

Trowel it down

The urethane cement is troweled or broadcast to the build the floor needs.

Cove and texture

Cove bases at the walls, and a textured finish where the floor stays wet.

good to know

Why people choose it

Takes thermal shock

Hot water and steam on a cold slab is exactly what this system is built for.

No edge to rot

A cove base turns the floor-to-wall joint into one smooth surface.

Grip when wet

A broadcast texture keeps footing on a floor that is wet all shift.

good questions

Asked about urethane cement flooring

Why urethane cement instead of epoxy in a kitchen?+
Kitchens hit floors with hot water, steam and grease every day. Urethane cement handles that heat and moisture where a thinner epoxy coating can break down.
Can it go down while we're still operating?+
Usually, in sections or after hours, so the rest of the space keeps working. Tell us when it's quiet and we'll build around it.
What is a cove base and do I need one?+
It's the floor system carried a few inches up the wall with a rounded corner. If the floor gets washed down, it keeps water out of the wall joint and makes cleaning simpler.
Is it slippery when wet?+
It doesn't have to be. A broadcast texture is built into floors that stay wet, and the level of grip can be set for the space.
